You're widgets are great, but I am trying to make a Follow cursor that falls only within a limited area.
Imagine an eyeball (pupil) that moves to follow the cursor as it passes over the eye. When it rolls out of the eye, the cursor stops following.
Or...if I could constrain the "follow" to stay within the eyeball (a circle) and not follow everywhere, that would work too. (not just a simple rotate follow though)
I have tried with "limited" success to place your "Follow Mouse SmartClip (Flash 5+)" within a Movieclip, place a button beneath it to engage the StartDrag on Rollover, and StopDrag on Rollout. It Waaay wacks out the math of the follow and appearrs to sometimes try and drag the button.
The logic ain't working for me. :( Dang. Any suggestions?

P.S. This did work using your Motion Trail Smartclip. :)

Hmm. It seems it might be easier to just write this one yourself. It's pretty simple math....Posted 5 years ago #
